His genre-crossing groove has earned him both the recognition – a Congressional Record for his contributions to the worldwide music community, for one – and the boundary-busting respect of his peers.
Nathan’s self-titled debut album was released in early 2014 and earned two Grammy Award nominations and featured the recording debut of his then 13-year-old son Noah East on a duet of The Beatles classic “Yesterday”.
Noah has gone on to tour the world as an in-demand studio and touring musician and member of The Cream of Clapton Band a tribute to Eric Clapton, occasionally featuring his father.
SmoothJazz.com Quote on the Father Son Album
“With inspiring originals and beautifully re-imagined covers, the forthcoming studio instrumental project focuses on the intimacy of the jazz duo and trio format as recorded by Grammy-winning producer Moogie Canazio at Los Angeles’ legendary EastWest Studios. While this is the younger East’s first release, his performance level on piano and mad skills on the Hammond B3 will introduce a new voice to the jazz community, one that is both heartfelt and soulful with his famous father laying down his signature grooves, moves and runs. Catch the dynamic East duo live!”
