Aaron Liddard Nylon Man at Norwich Jazz Club

This evening we're excited to feature Aaron Liddard as he brings his 'Nylon Man' project to the club.

Named after the three cities that most influenced Aaron (New York, London and Manchester) the album - "roughly 12 years in the making" - was launched in October last year and brought together a cast of 42 musicians from a diversity of genres and styles, including vocalist Carleen Anderson, violinist Omar Puente, trumpeter Yelfris Valdes and one of the eastern region's rising stars, saxophonist / guitarist Harry Greene.

Performed this evening by six excellent musicians, The Nylon Man project could be said to be genre-defying, but fuses funk, soul, Cuban and Brazilian styles with an over-arching jazz sensibility. Sample a taste of what's in-store here....

About the venue

The Maddermarket Theatre is a charming, historic venue nestling in the Norwich Lanes area of the city. Gigs take place in the ground-floor bar where up to 70 patrons can be accommodated around tables or in small rows of seats. The nearest multi-storey car park is St.Andrew's Car Park a short 2min walk away on Duke Street. A limited amount of parking for blue badge holders can be found on nearby Pottergate.
