Ryan Devlin - Tenor Saxophone
Ryan Devlin is a 28-year-old saxophonist and woodwind instructor from Orlando, FL. Ryan started his musical journey with his father Scott Devlin who was the leader of the Walt Disney World Sax Quartet. Music was always in their home when Ryan was a child as Scott was teaching lessons, practicing for his next gig, or listening to records. Ryan immediately became interested and asked his dad to teach him saxophone at age 9 after having playedthe piano for 3 years. Since then, Ryan has been practicing, gigging, and teaching every day. Ryan completed a Jazz Performance master’s degree at The New England Conservatory in Boston under the instruction of saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi in 2023 and now fills in at NEC for Mr. Bergonzi when he is away. As of 2025 Ryan has accepted a full time executive director position with Jazz Lesson Videos. Ryan has been a member and featured soloist in ensembles including The Florida All State Jazz Band, The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Orlando Jazz Orchestra. Ryan has toured a majority of the United States & Canada playing at famous jazz clubs like Smalls in NYC, Zinc Bar in NYC, Chris’ Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia, Sculler’s Jazz Club in Boston, Judson’s Live in Orlando, The Rex in Toronto, and Rudy’s Jazz Room in Nashville. He is also the 2017 winner of the Central Florida Jazz Society Scholarship Competition and was runner up in the 2017 Bob Washington Jazz Scholarship Competition. Ryan has taken lessons with world class musicians Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Alain Bradette, Lucas Pino, and Airmen of Note Tedd Baker. He has performed and/or recorded with pianists Davis Whitfield Jr. and Mike Bond, saxophonists Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Ravi Coltrane, Steve Kortyka, and Dave Pollack, bassist Gene Perla, drummers Adam Nussbaum, Ulysses Owens Jr., John Lumpkin and many other notable musicians....

Ian Ashby - Bass
Now 23 years of age, Ian has also lent his talents to film scores. Most recently Ashby appears in the score of a documentary about the work of legendary poet and activist Toni Morrison. “Foreigners Home” is a breathtaking exhibition of poetry, animation, music, and interviews centered around Toni’s 2018 trip to the Louvre. The film was shown at multiple film festivals across the globe such as Cannes and the Montreal Film Festival. Ian has also performed overseas and collaborated with many storied organizations across Europe. The Bavarian Youth orchestra featured Ian as a bassist and percussionist when Ian was just 16 years old, then more recently Ian collaborated with the Focusyear band in Basel Switzerland in October 2022. Ian studied privately with bassist Larry Grenadier and performed alongside legendary percussionist, pianist, and composer Jorge Rossy. As we speak, Ian is in the process of creating his newest project “The Modern Modinha” where he will use interviews with world renowned Brazilian and Portuguese artists and intensive research and composition with Ian’s teacher; bassist, composer, and educator Linda May Han Oh, helps Ian with his plans of recording this original three piece suite later this year.
Tal Cohen - Piano
Tal Cohen is a Grammy award winning jazz pianist. He has received much acclaim including winning the Barry Harris National Piano Competition and was the recipient of the prestigious Freedman Fellowship held at the Sydeny Opera to a sold out crowd. In recent times Cohen has been playing around the Globe with Terence Blanchard, Greg Osby, Ignacio Berroa, Joe Lovano and others. he currently leads his own ensemble which has performed at Iconic jazz festivals and venues that include Jazzbez Jazz Festival (Ukraine), Detroit Jazz Festival, Melbourne Jazz Festival (Australia), Sopot Jazz Festival( Poland) as well as a week residency at the Black Cat (San Fransisco).
His most recent album- "Gentle Giants" has received international acclaim and gained him many reviews including a 4 star review from Downbeat Magazine.
Cohen has become one of the most in demand pianists as he continues to tour the globe with his unique blend of Middle eastern melodies, traditional jazz Harmony and an impeccable rhythmic pallet forging a path to be remembered.
Willie Bowmen - Drums
At 23 years old, Willie Bowman Jr. is a rising jazz musician with deep roots in New York City’s vibrant jazz scene. Having made his debut at just 16 years old at the Williamsburg Music Center, owned by the legendary Gerry Eastman, he quickly established himself as a talented performer. Over the years, he has had the honor of playing alongside respected musicians such as Johnny O'Neal, Stacy Dillard, Lucy Yeghiazaryan, Grant Stewart, and Joe Cohn. A passionate advocate for jazz education, he has also contributed to Jazz at Lincoln Center, both as a participant in their prestigious programs and as a teacher’s assistant for their Summer Jazz Academy. With a growing reputation and a dedication to preserving the jazz tradition, he continues to make an impact in the world of jazz.
