Elle est née en Suisse et a commencé sa carrière à l’âge de 4 ans en enregistrant un disque avec le célèbre chanteur pour enfants, Henri Dès. Plus tard, elle déménagera à Paris pour poursuivre sa carrière, un pied dans la poésie et un autre dans le théâtre tout en incarnant la chanteuse gitane dans les cabarets de la ville, la nuit. Mais c’est à New York qu’elle va tenter de réaliser ses rêves. Elle y monte le Avalone Jazz Band dans lequel elle mêle son héritage français et balkanique, son amour pour l’art parisien des années 20 à 60, sa passion pour les chansons traditionnelles gitanes et sa fascination pour la musique de la Nouvelle-Orléans et le “Great American Songbook. Elle sera ici accompagnée par son compère de toujours : Michael Valeanu à la guitare.
