Issu d’une famille de chanteurs itinérants, Sam Amidon est une figure majeure de la folk indé américaine, collaborateur entre autres de Bill Frisell, Jason Moran, Nels Cline et Jacob Collier. Il a sorti 3 albums chez Nonesuch qui réinventent la tradition des premières chansons de pionniers. Il invite le pianiste Richard Sears, nouvel arrivant de la scène parisienne au jeu marqué à la fois par le blues et la musique ambient, qui a récemment composé la musique de la série « Icon of French Cinema » de Judith Godrèche. Deux songwriters et jazzmen complètent l’équipe : Matteo Bortone à la contrebasse et Guilhem Flouzat à la batterie. Une soirée entre folk poignante et improvisation libre.
