The Annual Community Unity Music Festival promises something for everyone. Fun, Family and FREE are the theme of this year’s Community Unity Music Festival on Saturday, August 5 from 1 pm to 8 pm in Clark Park, 4398 Chester Avenue Philadelphia, PA. Fun, games, food, drinks and most importantly live music with vendors, information booths, DJ Chris, face-painting, as well as a host of other local and national performers. The Community Music Festival organizers, its sponsors and Clark Park promises this event will be a memorable, family-friendly and fun experience. This event is FREE.

The Community Unity Music Festival was founded in 2014 by Carol Mitchell Faulkner and her son Justin Faulkner, an internationally acclaimed musician and drummer. Affected by the violence in the City of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas, this festival is not just about the music it showcases. It’s also about giving back to a community in which they live in.

With the assistance of Community businesses and sponsors as well as politician’s who believe in the mission of “put down the guns and pick up an instrument,” through this festival, they are saving children, one at a time. Over the years, proceeds raised from this festival through contributions and donations have provided instruments and lessons to countless children in the Philadelphia area.
