As a child, jazz vocalist and French native Cyrille Aimee fell in love with gypsy music and its way of life, leading her to her singing on street corners while traveling across Europe. Cast by Stephen Sondheim in a New York production, she has earned a jazz festival award and been praised by the Wall Street Journal as "astonishingly creative...with a brilliant sound, fresh ideas [and] impeccable rhythm."
