Internationally renowned jazz trumpeter JOE MAGNARELLI leads his all-star quartet in our Jazz and Blues Showcase series' program in May.

Magnarelli's trumpet artistry has delighted audiences worldwide in a three-decade plus professional career. Among the highlights in his distinguished resume are awards from the Thelonious Monk International Trumpet Competition and Downbeat Magazine, along with many performance credits with a host of jazz elites. Among them are Rosemary Clooney, Lionel Hampton, Jon Hendricks, Ray Barretto, John Pizzarelli and Harry Connick, Jr.

Magnarelli also has a substantial recorded history, as a leader and composer. Those skills will be fully displayed as we celebrate his latest CD, "Three on Two," in this program. ...
