The Band
Bass player, Mike Boone is widely seen as one of the top bass players in both Philadelphia and New York City, working with notable jazz artist as Joey Defrancesco, Ben Vereen, Buddy Rich, Leslie Uggams, James Moody, Joe Henderson, and many more.
Pianist, Barry Sames has been a highly sought after jazz accompanist, performing, recording, writing, and producing for many of Philadelphia’s top musicians. He has been heard in Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, Fels Planetarium, Painted Bride Arts Center, and has been classical accompanist for the Marian Anderson Society.
Drummer, Khary Shaheed began playing music at the early age of only two years. He became a member of the Electo Egbe Omode Dance Co. playing Djembe and Congas. While attending Academy of the Way Pan African Institute, Shaheed played with the Blue Nile Drum Ensemble directed by Jabali Wazuri and Talib Issa.
Charles Washington, Philly Born Trumpeter studied at Howard U in D.C. and performs some of Jazzes most intricate pieces. He works for the Philly Board of Ed as a Music Teacher.
