A native of Philadelphia, Michal Beckham is one of the most exciting jazz vocal artists in the jazz arena today. A graduate of the Philadelphia Public School System, Beckham, is the product of Philadelphia's Germantown Settlement School of Music and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA). She has toured France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland with jazz legend Clark Terry's Big Band, with Grover Washington Jr. and with “The Pieces of a Dream.” Truly an international attraction, on one occasion, Beckham toured Turkey, Paris and Belgium with group made up of Turkish musicians. Widely known as is a “musician’s vocalist” via her extensive repertoire of jazz, songs from the Great American Songbook, and the blues and consistently delivers a wide range of jazz, standards and blues repertoire....
