Pablo Batista, Latin Jazz Ensemble at South Jazz Club

Pablo Batista returns to the Unscripted Jazz Series for two hot nights. Batista is an outstanding percussionist and bandleader whose work spans the worlds of Jazz, R&B and Latin Music, The longtime member of Grover Washington’s band went on to tour with Grammy winner Alicia Keys. His diverse resume includes stints with Diane Reeves, Eddie Palmieri and Bono. Batista is also an instructor at The Association of Latin American Musicians (AMLA) and is the recipient of a Pew Fellowship Award which funded his project, El Viaje (The Journey).
