Latin jazz trombonist and Philly native Papo Vázquez teams up with Argentinian-born folk jazz vocalist Sofia Rei in this special double bill. A 2011 NEA Master and 2009 Grammy® Award nominee, Vázquez brings his Mighty Pirates Troubadours for a colorful jazz, Latin and Afro-Caribbean musical attack. Whether singing in Spanish, Portuguese or English, Sofia Rei is known for her powerful voice and inventive mix of South American folklore, jazz, global and electronic sounds.
