Following in the great tradition of the string quartet, each of Stratus Quartet's intimate performances display a musical tapestry rich with warmth and detail. Unlike most string quartets, Stratus Quartet almost exclusively performs improvised music, and music composed or arranged by its own members.

Founded in 2009, the Miceli Monroe Jazz Duo is comprised of Tony Miceli (vibraphone) and Diane Monroe (violin). Both artists hail from Philadelphia and draw upon their collective experiences growing up in the ‘70’s with popular music, R & B, blues, folk, jazz and classical. “The real challenge of playing in a duo setting is saying what you want to say with as many tools as you have," says Monroe. "That enables you to get to the point of being able to orchestrate so that the duo sounds like a larger ensemble.”
