The concert will feature the Up Front Big Band directed by Villanova Professor Jeff Pelesh performing big band jazz and music from the Swing Era. Also featured will be the Al Harrison Jazz Band performing traditional jazz and Dixieland featuring some of the best musicians in the tri-state area. A jazz trumpeter, Al also plays the cornet and flugelhorn and also entertains in most any other jazz genre. He has played in several NJ casinos backing up such greats as Tony Bennett and Sammy Davis, Jr. He led the Dixieland Band at the Showboat Casino and is a veteran performer in Philadelphia's Kimmel Center. This is a concert not to be missed if are a fan of traditional jazz. All proceeds will benefit the Villanova Jazz Ensemble.
