The Rhythm and Resistance Collective is a new Philly based group of musicians and poets that use music and poetry to inspire and support our communities through these difficult times of social injustice. We are happy to have Weezthepeeples as the feature performance for our first show which will be at Erica Corbo's Warp Factor 9! Weezthepeeple is a collection of many musicians, poets, and dancers that have performed throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond.

Leslie D. Hamilton—A poet, storyteller and writer with an M.B.A., Leslie wants to live in a world that celebrates women, children and people of color — so she writes about it.
Karen Smith-Karen Smith is lead percussionist and artistic director for Weez the Peeples Collective & Sistahs Laying Down Hands. Her play Where are the Tubmans? premiered at Rowan University in March 2018.
Bert Harris is an electric and double bassist who performs with multiple ensembles throughout the Philadelphia and Tri-State area. Bert has recorded two cd's with Byard Lancaster, served as musical director for two Philadelphia Jazz Project Sun Ra Tribute concerts, been a featured Jazz Bridge artist, and is the bassist for Philly Gumbo who perform reggae, blues and New Orleans funk.
Erica Corbo—-Erica Corbo is a professional musician and performance artist native to the Philadelphia area. Implementing her talents mainly on the piano, she also performs with a variety of ensembles and has been a dedicated performer and musical director with the Philadelphia Jazz Project. Warp Factor 9 is a monthly concert series created, curated, and produced by pianist and artist, Erica Corbo. Held in a small piano studio in West Philadelphia, the series features small ensembles of all genres in an intimate community setting. WF9 creates a much needed home for local avant-garde acts, as well as for solo pianists and piano-focused ensembles. In pairing the avant-garde with more mainstream genres, Erica hopes to break down the unnecessary divides placed between musical styles, artistic disciplines, peoples, and all other things.
