Kendrah Butler- Waters is a Philadelphia
based pianist, violinist, vocalist, composer and educator.
As a performer, this brilliant keyboard artist...culminates the sounds of Jazz, Classical, and gospel into a wonderfully woven sound that is all her own. Kendrah’s work has been featured on NPR, WRTI, PBS, and countless other outlets. Butler-Waters was a 2015-2016 Kimmel Center Jazz Resident and has participated in and/or served as music director in a number of Philadelphia Jazz Project events. Most recently, she performed and composed new
work for LeVar Burton and his “LeVar Burton Reads” Tour episode titled, “Driftglass”; a work by famed author/Sci-Fi Innovator, Samuel L. Delany.

GPS is a Philly-based group formed by woodwind musician and composer Gabe Preston, and is short for “Gabe Preston Sounds/Sessions.” Influenced by fusion and other styles of modern music, the band primarily plays original music (and sometimes covers) by the three members of the band:
Gabe Preston - soprano sax/flute/synth pad/pedals
Anthony Passante Contaldi - keys
Ben Singer - drums
Last September, GPS released their debut single, "Yumeni" on Bandcamp, which proceeded to get airplay on WXPN and a write-up on the Key just a week after release: https://thekey.xpn.org/2020/09/16/gps-yumeni/
"Yumeni" will be available on all other platforms later in March, along with the band's newest single, "I-76," which will feature West Philadelphia's Martronimous as a guest on trumpet!

Captain Corbo’s Warp Factor 9 is a monthly concert series created, curated, and produced by pianist and artist, Erica Corbo. Held in a small piano studio in West Philadelphia, the series features small creative ensembles of all genres in an intimate community setting. WF9 creates a much needed home for local avant-garde and jazz acts, as well as for solo pianists and piano-focused ensembles. In pairing the avant-garde with more mainstream genres, Erica hopes to break down the unnecessary divides placed between musical styles, artistic disciplines, peoples, and all other things.
