The Danish pianist Karl Vinter and bassist Rikart Andersen had collaborated for several years before they decided to invite the American drumming phenomenon Jeff "Tain" Watts on a European tour in 2023. Following the tour, the three musicians went into the studio and recorded the album WAW! (HobbyHorse Records, June 2024), where the energy and the trio's special synergy were fully unleashed.

Jeff "Tain" Watts is widely recognized in the jazz world as one of the most influential drummers of his generation. He has played with iconic jazz legends like George Benson, Harry Connick Jr., McCoy Tyner, and Kenny Garrett. He has released several acclaimed albums and won multiple awards, including three Grammy Awards for his work with the Branford Marsalis Quartet.
Karl Vinter is widely regarded as one of the most talented and innovative jazz pianists of his generation, receiving significant recognition both in Denmark and internationally for his music. He has worked with major figures such as Jerry Bergonzi, Billy Hart, Adam Nussbaum, and Till Brönner.
Rikart Andersen has gained widespread acclaim for his work as a composer and bassist in modern jazz. Described as "one of the most interesting characters on the Danish jazz scene" (Gaffa), he has released several albums as bandleader, featuring Danish and international musicians such as Oskar Gudjonsson (IS), Rudi Mahall (DE), Kasper Tranberg (DK), Ra-Kalam Bob Moses (US), Tony Malaby (US), and Bill McHenry (US).
