WXPN welcomes critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Kat Edmonson touring in support of her latest album Way Down Low. Edmonson gives listeners dreamy pop melodies mingled in old time jazz tunes on her songwriting debut and sophomore album Way Down Low which she funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Upon its release, the album quickly reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The New York Times called it “fresh as a spring bouquet.” Her first album Take To The Sky debuted at No. 21 on Billboard’s jazz charts and rose into the top 10 for jazz radio. The contemporary jazz-scene darling has performed with Willie Nelson, opened for Smokey Robinson and toured with Boz Scaggs.
