Jim Ridl is a jazz pianist, composer, arranger and teacher residing in the New York City area. He performs internationally with the Jim Ridl Trio and Quartet, the Dave Liebman BigBand, the Mingus Big Band, Ximo Tebar’s IVAM Jazz Ensemble of Spain, and the Tim Horner Quintet.
Jim Hamilton drums/percussion, started his career in entertainment as a tap dancer. He expanded to drums and then percussion, working with many artists both in the U.S. and around the world. Jim runs a record label called "Tension Rod" tensionrodmusic.comand a recording facility called RittenhouseSoundworks in Philadelphia.
Leandro Fortes guitarist, was born in Criciúma, Brazil and began playing guitar at the age of eight. In 2001, Leandro moved to Florianópolis to study Music Education at UDESC (University of State of Santa Catarina), where he studied harmony with Sérgio Freitas and classical guitar with Luiz Mantovani. Leandro Fortes has been playing with many groups and artists such as: Trio KOS, Tributo a Chico Buarque, Trio Budega and Poré Poré. He has worked with Poré Poré, as composer and arranger. Leandro has played with Vinícius Dorin, Mariana Zwarg, Joana Queiroz and Hermeto Pascoal, to name a few.
Gina Roche’ is a singer, guitarist, composer and recording artist who effectively combines elements of jazz, pop, rhythm and blues and world music to fashion a refreshing style that is utterly her own. She has performed all over the world with her own groups, and has also toured with the all-female, Latina group, “Ellas;” and the world music group, “World Color.” She’s performed at the Kimmel Center, opened for pianist McCoy Tyner at the for the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, and performed at dozens of festivals Her first CD, “Dawning of a New Day,” was released in 2001. Her second recording, “Thankfully,” was released in 2012. Of “Thankfully,” music critic Scott Gross, writing for “Inside Musicast,” said: “The music contains a candidly sincere beauty and grace that makes the journey the songs take you on one you’ll want to infinitely repeat.”
Jazz Bridge, an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to assisting Greater Philadelphia Metro area jazz and blues musicians and vocalists in times of crisis, sponsors these neighborhood concerts throughout the region to keep the sound of Philadelphia alive.
