About

Saturday Night Jazz returns for a summer series on Woodmere Art Museum's lawn. Enjoy an evening outdoors surrounded by nature and monumental sculptures! Two performances per evening begin at 5 & 7pm.
The big man with the big sound, major influence, and contributor to hard bop jazz, Adderly was a strong sideman for Miles Davis and led his own group for many years. He made the alto sax sing and touched many people with his earthy, bluesy tones. Sax man Larry Price takes the Cannonball chair with The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble rhythm section. Song selection will include “Work Song,” “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” “Sack O’ Woe,” “Jeannine,” and more.
