This is a new concert series happening every third Thursday. The venue is VERY INTIMATE with beautiful acoustics. We can only fit about 15 people, so make sure you get there early (by 8pm!) to get a seat and drink your tea! BYOB alcohol :)

With this series, I hope to bring all people and genres together, and to soften the divide between the avant-garde and other types of music.

Oarsman - Luca Farrell on Piano, Pete Dennis on Bass, Joey Sullivan on Drums.
Oarsman exists between music and silence. Like an appointment you almost forgot, they make sounds out of their instruments again and again. The raucous trio share living quarters and mingle freely during the day, when they are free to share ideas and sweet licks. Their art is largely informed by music, as well as their interest in sound design. Our music sounds like the feeling of the first sip out of a can of Lion’s Head, another Philadelphia classic. By the way, we live in Philadelphia…anyways, enjoy our free, jazz, music.

Frank Rein Brass Trio- Composer Frank Rein, with Koofreh Umoren and Dan Nosheny, will premiere new ambient chamber pieces for flugelhorn, trombone, and tuba. Combining through-composed melodies and improvisation, the works will utilize the sympathetic vibrations of the Suzuki studio's two grand pianos to create dense and vibrant soundscapes.
