Due to popular demand, Fred Adams will bring his Philadelphia based jazz sextet known as the Philadelphia Heritage Art Ensemble (PHAE) on Friday, June 16, 2017 to the Platinum Grille, 7719 Crittenden St. in the Chestnut Hill district of Philadelphia, PA with two sets at 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm. This performance will be a tribute to Hank Mobley and Lee Morgan. There is no music charge for this show. The PHAE lineup for June 16 will feature Fred Adams leading the band on trumpet, James Stewart on tenor sax, Brent White on trombone, Bernard Samuels on piano, Sonny Sunkett on bass, and G. Calvin Weston on drums. The PHAE is keeping the Philadelphia jazz sound of the '50s and '60s alive representing the Philly East Coast bebop sound by doing arrangements by Lee Morgan, Hank Mobley, Jymie Merritt, McCoy Tyner, Philly Joe Jones, and Dizzy Gillespie along with original compositions by Fred Adams....
