In-demand jazz pianist STEVE ASH'S trio headlines in the series on FRIDAY, MAY 8. Mr. Ash's distinguished three-decade professional career includes performing with many well-known jazz artists. Among them are Jimmy Cobb, Frank Wess, Jon Hendricks, Louis Hayes, Warren Vache, Harry Allen, Chris Connor and Annie Ross.
The New York based, Pittsburgh native's credits include being selected by the Kennedy Center and the U.S. State Department to tour overseas as a Jazz Ambassador in 2004. His resume also contains a growing number of recordings, with several as a leader. His playing is also featured in the 2007 Claire Danes' movie, "Evening."
