Kente Arts Alliance returns to City of Asylum with their KENTE SUMMER MADNESS Concert Series, kicking things off with DJ Bus Crates and The Emmett Goods Quintet. Come early and feel the beat with DJ Bus Crates as he gets everything started. Bus Crates is a DJ, musician, and vinyl junkie from Pittsburgh. He’s also made some strides internationally in Canada and Germany. Though he frequently travels, his roots are firmly planted right here in Pittsburgh.

Following Bus Crates’ set are trombonist Emmett Goods and his quintet. Emmett has shared the stage with a wide variety of artists ranging from jazz to pop musicians, and he has performed with the Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, and Gladys Knight, to name a few.
