Ken Karsh, who began playing guitar at age 9, has pursued a lifelong career in music and music education, earning degrees from Berklee College of Music and Duquesne University. He has performed with notable musicians like Jimmy McGriff, Bobby McFerrin, and Lee Konitz, and contributed to the soundtrack of the documentary "In My Hands." Karsh has played in numerous Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera productions and with prestigious groups like the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. His work includes several publications on jazz guitar and two CDs of his compositions. Currently, he teaches at Slippery Rock University and California University of Pennsylvania, playing guitars crafted by Tim Brockman.
