Felebration 3: Ebo Taylor & Jungle by Night at Lantaren Venster

Felabration is the celebration of Fela Kuti, godfather of the Afrobeat. This celebration, where that Lantaren Venster is being converted to a rough and exciting West-African night club, is led by Ghanese guitarhero Ebo Taylor and Jungle By Night.

Jungle By Night has been called an example of how Afrobeat should be played by son of Fela Kuti. Drummer Tony Allen, who played in Fela Kuti's band, called the band the 'evolution of Afrobeat.'

Special guest this year is Ebo Taylor. From the 50's till the 70's he was a leading figure in the Afrobeat and Highlife-scene. World fame came to Ebo Taylor when he released his 2010 album Love and Death. With his latest album, Appia Kwa Bridge from 2012, Ebo brings back the superfunky Afrobeat music. In Ghana Ebo Taylor has a huge following. But with performances on Norht Sea Jazz, Into the Geat Wide Open and more, he is gathering a following in the Netherlands as well....
