Friday night, music comes alive as the sun goes down when participating venues play host to special showcase performances.
Jazz artists will be featured all throughout Collingswood, a town that is becoming famous for its restaurants, with vocalist Miss Justine and the Tom Lawton Trio at Briannas, to flutist Cindy LaBlanc and pianist Jim Holten at Framestyles, an art gallery in the theatre district. Singer Wendy Simon of 52nd Street will be appearing at Sweet Secrets and many more artists are in the process of being booked up and down Haddon Ave. The town is imminently walkable and people will be strolling through town with music pouring almost out of every window!
Directions: From Public Transportation:
Take the PATCO High Speedline to the Collingswood Station (connection service is available via SEPTA and NJ Transit Atlantic City Line, Bus Service and The Riverline). Walk 3 blocks along North Atlantic Avenue to Collings Avenue (towards the water towers). The Community Center is located at Collings and North Atlantic Avenues. Turn left on Collings Avenue and Knight Park is 2 blocks on your right side.
Bus service is available to Collingswood via NJ Transit Route 451.
From I-295 and White Horse Pike West:
Go south and take exit 29 for Collingswood. Follow signs to us 30 west (White Horse Pike). Go approximately 4 miles through Oaklyn, across Newton Creek to traffic light at Collings Avenue (landmark is Parkview Apartments on corner) Turn right onto Collings Avenue 1 block and Knight Park will be on your left. Continue down Collings Avenue until you cross under the PATCO High Speedline and the Community Center will be on your right at the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues.
From PA/Philadelphia:
Take Ben Franklin Bridge into NJ and Follow Rte 30 East to Rte 70 East. Follow 70 East until signs for Cuthbert Boulevard (Collingswood). Take Cuthbert Boulevard south towards Collingswood and Westmont. Follow for four traffic lights to Haddon Avenue. at Haddon, make right and follow to next traffic signal (Collings Avenue) and make left. The Community Center will be on your left side on the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues, right before the underpass for the PATCO High Speedline. Continue on Collings Avenue for 2 blocks and Knight Park will be on your right side.
From NJ 38/70 East Or West:
Follow 38/70 until signs for Cuthbert Boulevard (Collingswood). Take Cuthbert Boulevard south towards Collingswood and Westmont. Follow for four traffic lights to Haddon Avenue. at Haddon, make right and follow to next traffic signal (Collings Avenue) and make left. The Community Center will be on your left side on the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues, right before the underpass for the PATCO High Speedline. Continue on Collings Avenue for 2 blocks and Knight Park will be on your right side.
US 130, From The South:
Follow US 130 North to traffic light at Collings Avenue (light after Rte. 168 interchange). Turn right onto Collings Avenue. Continue through light at US 30 and Knights Park will be 1 block on your left. Follow Collings Avenue until you cross under the PATCO High Speedline and the Community Center will be on your right at the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues. Continue on Collings Avenue for 2 blocks and Knight Park will be on your right side
US 130, From The North:
Follow 130 South through the Airport Circle. Continue over Cooper River and make right onto Haddon Avenue (Radio Shack & Dunkin Dounuts on right side corner). Bear right for ramp to Collingswood under Rte. 130 up and onto Haddon Avenue. Follow on Haddon for 2 traffic lights to Collings Avenue and make a right. The Community Center will be on your left side on the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues, right before the underpass for the PATCO High Speedline. Continue on Collings Avenue for 2 blocks and Knight Park will be on your right side.
From Camden:
Take Haddon Avenue towards Collingswood. After crossing under Rte 130 underpass, follow on Haddon for 2 more traffic lights to Collings Avenue and make a right. The Community Center will be on your left side on the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues, right before the underpass for the PATCO High Speedline. Continue on Collings Avenue for 2 blocks and Knight Park will be on your right side.
From Rte 561 and Haddonfield:
Take 561/Haddon Avenue towards Camden and Collingswood. Once in Collingswood (Past Cuthbert Boulevard, Walgreen's and KFC will be on your left and WAWA will be on your right) follow to next traffic signal (Collings Avenue) and make left. The Community Center will be on your left side on the corner of Collings and North Atlantic Avenues, right before the underpass for the PATCO High Speedline. Continue on Collings Avenue for 2 blocks and Knight Park will be on your right side.
