Norma Winstone pioneered the approach to wordless vocals in jazz, as well creating countless word-settings with Kenny Wheeler, Ralph Towner and John Taylor. Stan Sulzmann’s highly personal, haunting but forward-looking style has won him many admirers and colleagues, including Gil Evans, Michael Brecker and Mike Gibbs.

Nikki Iles’ 25 years experience playing, composing and teaching have made her one of the finest modern jazz pianists in Europe and voted Best Pianist in the 2018 British Jazz Awards Her fluent and creative playing has been heard with the finest UK musicians, including Kenny Wheeler and Tina May. Dave Green’s surefooted approach made him the bassist of choice for visiting artists such as Sonny Rollins, Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster in the 60s. He remains in high demand today.
