The Academy is proud to welcome back our International Jazz Artist in Residence, bassist Dave Holland, to perform alongside our students.

Dave Holland is internationally renowned as one of the most influential jazz musicians working on the contemporary scene. Since moving from his native England to take a role in Miles Davis’s seminal bands of the late 1960s and 70s, he has forged a career as a composer, instrumentalist and band leader that is second to none. He has performed with every major jazz artist around and remains as vital and relevant today as ever, constantly inspiring and collaborating with the younger generation of musicians....

The concert will include a set of Holland’s music for various small ensembles, followed by a set with the Academy’s critically acclaimed Big Band.
