ZIMBAREMABWE is a musical collective led by LINOS WENGARA MAGAYA. We perform, practice and teach Zimbabwean arts particularly Mbira based music, both traditional and modern. Mbira is a traditional Zimbabwean instrument used in Shona culture for spiritual ceremonies.
Zimbaremabwe has plenty of festival and gigging experience and have performed at Rhythm Tree, Shambala, Womad, Tribal Earth, Glastonberry, One Love, Solfest, Wattsfest, Off the Tracks, Sidmouth Folk festival, Mela festivals, and venues such as Komedia (Brighton), Hootenanny, SOAS concert series, Shaka Zulu, Kemia Bar, Troxy theatre (London), Pegasus theatre (Oxford), Railway (Winchester), Winter Garden theatre (Eastbourne). We also perform for private functions, weddings and parties....

ABDOULAYE SAMB and MINNJIARABY

Minnjiaraby is a band founded in 2001 by Abdoulaye Samb, guitarist singer composer from Senegal. His original music is inspired by Fula and Mandinka cultures among many others. The name of the band means “The love of mixing”, which expresses the richness of senegalese traditions and ethnies, the beauty in them getting together, as well as an open-minded approach to all cultures and people and bridging and promoting them. The music has grown from Abdulaye’s travels, collaborations and researches in Africa and Europe.
