The after-work “Dizzy Hours” (named for renowned jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, who acquired his famous nickname while living in Philadelphia) will invite audiences to learn about the fundamentals of jazz from Tony Williams of the Mount Airy Cultural Center and Thelma Anderson of the Council of Jazz Advocates at the Gershman Y. Join the Philadelphia Jazz Project as we laugh with comedian James Hesky; play jazz trivia and enjoy finding great surprises in the scavenger hunt.
