Montreux Jazz Festival is the king of all music festivals. Started in 1967 by Claude Nobs, Montreux has hosted the worlds top musicians from Miles Davis to Ray Charles to David Bowie. Although it still keeps the Jazz Festival name, visitors should be aware that it is no longer exclusively a Jazz Festival. Musicians of all types come annually to this king of Festivals.
