Born and raised in Philadelphia, Gina Roche began singing, writing songs, and playing guitar when she was sixteen. As a young musician, Gina spent several years performing pop and R&B in the local Philadelphia nightclubs. Throughout her extensive career, Gina has had the opportunity to perform around the world in countries such as Aruba, The Grand Cayman Islands, Japan, and all over the United States. Gina’s ability to sing in multiple idioms and genres has led her to perform with world music ensembles including “Ellas” and “World Color.” Gina also has performed with “The Sacred Divas,” a jazz and gospel ensemble located in Philadelphia. Gina had the opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, opening for jazz legend, McCoy Tyner. Gina’s debut CD, entitled “Dawning of a New Way” features both jazz standards and original compositions.

Jazz Bridge, an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to assisting Greater Philadelphia Metro area jazz and blues musicians and vocalists in times of crisis, sponsors these neighborhood concerts throughout the region to keep the sound of Philadelphia alive.
