Jeanie started her musical career with 3 years as a principal in the National Youth Music Theatre and went on to study at the University of Warwick where she performed regularly at Warwick Arts Centre. After graduating, she worked professionally as an actress, but since moving to London in 2001 her career veered mainly towards music. Having studied jazz harmony at Morley College in London and improvisation with BBC Jazz award winner Anita Wardell, Jeanie cut her teeth as singer & compere for bebop pioneer Laurie Morgan and his trio, fronting their famous North London weekly gig, Downstairs at The King’s Head in Crouch End for over a decade....

She went on to support Georgie Fame, sing backing vocals for Luddy Samms (The Drifters) and recently performed for Samuel J Jackson. Credits include performances at The Jazz Cafe, The 606 club in Chelsea, Ronnie Scott’s and The National Theatre, as well as a cruise on the Seine in Paris. She is proud to work regularly with some of the best musicians on the British Jazz scene today, gigging regularly around the UK to increasing acclaim with her quartet and other ensembles.
