On THURSDAY 23 DEC @ THE TABERNACLE, W11: Just £5 advance/facebook/concs & £8 : WOM@TT brings a tremendously successful 3rd year of working to profile & honour UK based African, Caribbean & Latin artists to a head with our Xmas/Kwaanza/3rd birthday special which is the final Best of British for 2010. We spotlight flautist extraordinaire KEITH WAITHE (Macusi Players), 2010 Calypso monarch ALEXANDER D GREAT & one of this year's ...breakthrough artists MOSI CONDE & we welcome back the inimitable MC Ni + NOW THE SOCA DIVETTES as well!

New weekday licensing rules at The Tabernacle mean that we have to finish at 10pm, it being a Thursday - however fear not! We are offering a free after party at a secret local venue to all those who come with DJ's and acoustic music.... You gotta be there to know....

WOM@TT 's main aim is to profile and develop UK based African, Caribbean & Latin artists in excellent venues with high production values and PR support. We shine the spotlight on home grown artists and those who have made UK their home (Just because they are no longer trainspotter fodder, they are still brilliant!)

For the final BEST OF BRITISH AWARD event of 2010 we present:

KEITH WAITHE - internationally renowned flautist and music creator originally from the rain forests of Guyana. Keith has over 90 flutes in his collection and is noted for his explorations of Latin American, Caribbean, African and Indian musics linked in a jazz base. He's won international acclaim and awards. His Macusi players have performed worldwide and he is equally attentive to developing local young musicians' talents as well

ALEXANDER GREAT is rightly crowned 2010 Calypso Monarch for his latest totally topical, and spot on choon! Ayiti and for his services to the genre far beyond. He has penned many other winners' songs and is a BBC regional Calypsonian in residence (tho BBC London needs to wake up to his brilliant extemporising!) and is training the next generation too

MOSI CONDE, of Guinea Conakry's leading Griot and musical line (Sekouba Diamond Fingers Diabate and Mory Kante are his uncles) has been playing the many instruments he is master of since he was very very young. Over 2010 he has emerged as a fine band leader - with Kaira Kora Afrika - and released his debut album KAIRA KORA AFRIKA acheiving widespread airplay including both Radio 3 and underground support and an I Tunes release.

MC Ni's mcing of Mama Africa hit all the right notes of entertainment and information and we had to ask her back. And of course have her perform V'uvuzela once more!

And NOW, THE SOCA DIVETTES are rejoining us as well - their set @ Mama Africa was absolutely divine! Vocals? Sass? what! Come and support them
