Atlanta natives and rising New York City jazz stars bassist Michael Feinberg and pianist Joe Alterman as they play a special joint CD release concert on Saturday, September 15 at Schwartz Hall, Emory University, 1700 North Decatur Road, Atlanta, in celebration of Feinberg’s The Elvin Jones Project (Sunnyside) and Alterman’s Give Me the Simple Life (Miles High). Alterman opens with his trio of bassist James Cammack and drummer Justin Chesarek at 8 p.m. while Feinberg follows with drummer Billy Hart, saxophonist George Garzone and pianist Leo Genovese.
