Rhenda Fearrington, a New York native, is a charismatic dynamo who sings jazz standards and originals with a contagious energy that is always inventive and always swings. She has sung back-up for Roberta Flack and Mtume, spent years as a commercial/jingle singer, and toured for 15 years with her “Feel Sooo Good” show, a motivational children’s program. Singer/songwriter Shakera Jones, who holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies, has been singing since the age of four. Truly a jazz vocal master with an impressive technique, Jones intelligently applies this technique to jazz standards, originals, and, from time to time, contemporary pop—songs in her set lists include tunes written by everyone from Jill Scott to Thelonious Monk-- in a sometimes soulful, sometimes jazzy, sometimes bluesy, but always individual style.

There likely isn’t a venue in this region where Julie Charnet has not performed. What sets Charnet apart, in addition to her singular interpretive powers and sheer sense of joy as a performer, is her eclectic and always-entertaining repertoire. The songs she sings include classic swing, jazz, blues, show tunes, and rarely heard material dating back to the 1920s. The Philadelphia Inquirer was right on the mark when they deemed Julie Charnet to be “like torch singers of yore.” Indeed, she is.
