The Pucciarelli Group is currently touring its third album Uplift (Ubuntu Music), showcasing innovative music that is liberating the genre for new audiences. While the music of the band is grounded in the tradition of jazz, its harmonies, melodies and rhythms show the ability to reach and be accessible to a more diverse and wider public. Jonny Mansfield is an award-winning percussionist and composer. He has worked with international artists such as Chris Potter, Orlando Weeks and Yazz Ahmed, performing worldwide. He released his debut album 'Elftet' on Edition Records after being awarded the Kenny Wheeler Prize in 2018 as well as being nominated for Ivors Novello composition awards for large jazz ensemble. His trio explores compositions and jazz standards whilst creating a dialogue between the three musicians through improvisation. Influences are drawn from vibes legend Bobby Hutcherson, Norwegian guitarist Lage Lund and Chilean saxophonist Melissa Aldana.
