Still only twenty-one and twice winner of the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year Under 17 title, Fergus McCreadie released his first album, Turas, in early 2018 to rave reviews. He has since won the Best Instrumentalist title at the Scottish Jazz Awards, was nominated as Best Newcomer in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and featured in the finals of BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year in 2018. His music is dynamic and beautifully crafted, reflecting the Scottish landscape and musical traditions while honouring the American and European jazz legacies.
