How to upload your events in batches to Jazz Near You

Our new batch events upload form replaces the previous CSV file upload option. It’s a significant improvement, simplifying the process while offering more time-saving features. This guide is designed to help new users quickly understand the upload process.

Step 1: General Information

The first step involves entering general information including venue name, festival name, headliner name, event time, currency, ticket price, ticket URL, and the number of events you plan to upload.

Both the venue name and festival name are autocomplete fields. Just type in the first several letters, then select the correct entry from the dropdown box. If your event isn’t associated with a festival, leave the festival name blank.

If you're uploading a monthly calendar for a venue, leave the headliner field blank. If most of your shows start at 7:30 PM or 8:00 PM, set the time accordingly. You can always adjust the times later on the next form. Similarly, if the ticket prices are generally the same, input the price here, and you can modify it for individual shows as needed. To save time, we recommend linking to your general ticket sales page (e.g., https://tickets.smokejazz.com) rather than linking to individual ticket pages.

Set the number of events to match the number you plan to upload. While you can set it to any number, we suggest limiting it to 30 events max.

Press the CONTINUE button.

Step 2: Event Detail Information

After clicking the CONTINUE button, you'll be directed to a table-like form with columns and rows. The number of rows displayed corresponds to the number of events you specified in step 1.

Working one row at a time, from left to right, you'll input the event title, date (in mm/dd/yyyy format), and, if you completed the venue information and time fields earlier, you can skip ahead to the headliner name. The headliner name is also an autocomplete field—type in the first few letters of the artist or band's name and select it from the dropdown box. You may also see the artist’s photo after selecting their name.

Next, enter the remaining band members’ full names (no instruments) in the "Personnel" box, separating each name with a semicolon. If you’ve already set the ticket price, currency and URL on the previous form, you can skip these fields and move on to the next row. Repeat this process for each event you wish to add.

If you initially planned to add 10 shows but decided to upload only 6, that’s perfectly fine—simply leave the remaining 4 rows blank.

When you press the UPLOAD button, all your events will be uploaded to Jazz Near You, where you can make any further edits if needed.
