With a pedigree since the 1960s with Terry Lightfoot, Alex Welch and Humphrey Lyttleton, Roy is one of our leading figures in mainstream jazz music, receiving awards aplenty along the way. Roy is generally regarded as the successor to George Chisholm in terms of popularity on his instrument and has become a true legend of British jazz in his own right.
