Saxophonist Glen Manby + Leon Greening On Piano at Chandos Arms Jazz

We are delighted to welcome alto saxophonist and composer Glen Manby for his first visit to the Chandos Arms, accompanied by dazzling pianist Leon Greening.

Based in Wales, Glen has worked at home and abroad, including prestigious events like the European Summit, the Queen's banquet for the Opening of the Senedd Welsh Parliament, the Opening of the Wales Millennium Centre, and club dates around Britain, as well as gigs in New York, Germany, and Switzerland.

In 1997 he was awarded a scholarship to study on the Jazz and Contemporary Music Program at The New School in New York's Greenwich Village. He was awarded an Arts Council of Wales grant to study at the Lausanne Conservatoire, Switzerland, and later received a project grant to compose, arrange and record a new repertoire with his recently-formed quintet. An esteemed educator, Glen has taught at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, the University of South Wales and currently at Cardiff University School of Music.
