The Sun Ra Arkestra Directed by Marshall Allen will do a free outdoor show at 7:00 pm at 40th & Walnut Streets in Philly on the opening night of the 13th Annual University City District Summer Series. The band will be celebrating Marshall's 93rd birthday (93rd Arrival Day in Arkestral parlance) at this concert since his calendar birthdate is May 25.
There will be the RU Bhangra band as an opening act at 6:00 pm at this event.
