Renowned jazz organist AKIKO TSURUGA headlines on FRIDAY, MARCH 20 in the series to celebrate "Commencement," her new CD. Guitar great BOB DeVOS & veteran drummer GREG BUFORD complete her trio.
Ms. Tsuruga has fashioned an outstanding professional resume since arriving in the U.S. from Japan in 2001. She's performed & recorded with a host of jazz legends that include Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess, Grady Tate & Houston Person. She's been honored on organ with Downbeat Magazine's "Rising Star" award, and is also credited with compiling a growing list of CDs as a leader.
