V. Shayne Frederick (solo set!) is a rising star vocalist, pianist, arranger, curator, and musical director with performances spanning two decades. He has been featured at TEDx, John Coltrane Jazz Festival, Center City Jazz Festival, the Piton International Film Festival, and Musikfest, with headline appearance at such illustrious venues as the historic Minton's Playhouse, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Barnes Foundation, Suzanne Roberts Theater, the Institute of Contemporary Art, South Jazz Parlor, World Café Live, Michener Art Museum, and Long Beach Island Foundation. Cited by the Broad Street Review as “one of the region’s busiest and best jazz singers,” V. Shayne has been appointed “one to watch” and a “shining light" by All About Jazz. "V. Shayne's repertoire is vast but curated, reaching deep into the jazz songbook for forgotten songs that he makes feel like standards. He’s an artist’s artist, in part because it seems almost effortless—like he’s never been anything but." According to WXPN, "Frederick’s vocals are constantly (and rightfully) at the forefront. His stunning baritone effortlessly soars; sometimes a seductive whisper, sometimes an exuberant belt." His official debut album Lovesome was released in 2019, followed by a single, Gleaming, and a holiday EP Evergreen. His latest EP, Blacklight, https://vshayne.bandcamp.com/album/blacklight was recorded during the pandemic and released September 2020....

Laura Lizcano (duo with Dariel Peniazek) is a Colombian-born singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia. Influenced by artists like Norah Jones and Natalia Lafourcade, Lizcano combines her formal training as a jazz vocalist with her love for folk and pop music. This combination of styles is evident within her own lyrically-driven compositions.
Lizcano has performed at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts for the Sittin In’ Series at Innovation Studio and at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York City as the featured vocalist for the Temple University Big Band. She has also opened for Gaby Moreno and Sammy Miller and the Congregation at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. Most recently, she has been featured in the virtual Wawa Welcome America Festival and Philadelphia's iconic Philly Folk Fest in 2020.
She follows her self-released debut EP, Chance on Me (2018), with her first full-length studio album, Heart, which is now available on Bandcamp and all other streaming platforms.

Warp Factor 9 is a monthly concert series created, curated, and produced by pianist and artist, Erica Corbo. Held in a small piano studio in West Philadelphia, the series features small creative ensembles of all genres in an intimate community setting. WF9 creates a much needed home for local avant-garde and jazz acts, as well as for solo pianists and piano-focused ensembles. In pairing the avant-garde with more mainstream genres, Erica hopes to break down the unnecessary divides placed between musical styles, artistic disciplines, peoples, and all other things.
