Philly's 100 year old Ruba Cabaret will be filled with the most suave and talented musicians in the area this Thursday, January 30. NJ's Bog Iron Bloom is as rare and as natural as the lost commodity they borrow their name from. They carefully combine a semi-acoustic trio of guitar, bass and drums with a small but haunting string section. The result is a sound that gracefully beckons to the past, yet never adheres to it.

We Used to Cut the Grass will also be performing a full night of laborious home-made arrangements of Frank Zappa's music, drawing a lot of material from his early work juxtaposed with his final tours in the 80's, written by Cody McCorry and Ian Gray. ...
