Igor Géhénot (Liège °1989) started playing the piano at the age of 6 and first studied classical and then jazz. At the age of 19 he entered the Maastricht Conservatory and in 2009 he joined the Brussels Conservatory, where he studied with Eric Legnini. It was then that he formed his first trio with Sam Gerstmans & Antoine Pierre, and played at the Dinant Jazz Nights Festival. After that, everything accelerated and his first critically acclaimed album followed in 2012.
With his trio, Igor Géhénot performs at the most famous Belgian and foreign festivals: Jazz à Vienne, Brussels Jazz Marathon, Ghent Jazz Festival, EuroJazz Festival (Mexico City), Gaume Jazz Festival, EUJAZZ in Santiago (Chile), Igloo Jazz nights (Paris). ), JazzTour LDH, London Jazz Festival, Dinant Jazz Nights, JazzLab Series...
