After studying classical trumpet at the Conservatories of Liège and Mons, he obtained a 1st Prize in jazz trumpet and jazz harmony at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with a stay at the Manhattan School in New York and obtained a Master of Arts in trumpet-jazz at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel.
