The Brussels Groove Collective (BGC), the jazz vocal group from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, is directed by London- based pianist-singer Pete CHURCHILL. A great performer on stage, this man is famous for helping the legendary Jon Hendricks to complete his lyricisation of the famous Gil Evans/Miles Davis album, Miles Ahead - in insider language, this is known as « vocalese » (and Quincy Jones was so impressed that he flew Pete’s London Choir to New York for the world premiere). <br />...

Among the singers in the BGC there are some external reinforcements, not least: Fabien Degryse and Ivan Paduart, well known on the Belgian jazz scene, who have joined the bass section! <br />
The choir’s repertoire is full of great standards from the world of gospel, groove and jazz, songs by Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, James Taylor, Count Basie… and Pete Churchill. <br />
This is a rarity. It is prudent to book.
