In the CGNYC – Cologne meets New York series, Cologne bassist Florian Herzog invites New York musicians to create exciting concerts in a first meeting with other Cologne musicians.
Adam O’Farrill, born in Brooklyn in 1994, is an up-and-coming trumpet star and composer. His musical heritage includes his grandfather, Cuban composer Chico O’Farrill, and his father, composer and activist Arturo O’Farrill.
Adam is a sought-after trumpeter and has collaborated with artists such as Hiromi, Mary Halvorson and Vijay Iyer. With his band Stranger Days, which includes his brother Zack O’Farrill, Xavier Del Castillo and Walter Stinson, he has released the album “Visions of Your Other” (2021), which was praised by the New York Times....
